Step-by-Step Instructions

Fray check all ends of ribbon. Heat sealing will work as well.
Glue the ends of each piece of ribbon to make loops, overlapping them slightly. You should have 5 loops after this step.

Take the 2 largest loops and set them next to each other.
Take a length of florist's wire and wrap tightly around center of ribbon. Twist tightly in back.
Repeat this for the 2 medium sized loops.

Take a length of florist's wire and wrap around center of smallest loop.  Twist tightly in back.

Take the medium sized bow and separate the wires on the back of the bow.  Wrap this around the center of the largest bow.  Twist tightly in back. Repeat this step with the smallest bow, wrapping wire around all 3 layers.  Twist tightly in back.

Adjust and shape loops so that the bow is even and fluffy.
Examine the back of your bow to make sure the wire is very tightly twisted.
Snip off excess wire on back of bow taking care not to cut it too closely.  You do not want your wire to untwist.  Bend down the edges of the wire so that they are not sticking out.  Try to get them to lay down as close to the ribbon as possible. You may want to use a pair of pliers to compress the wires.

Remove the center spring from French clip and hot glue the clip to the back of the bow.
Take 3/8 inch ribbon and wrap around center of the bow pulling tightly and gluing to the French clip.

Replace the center spring on French clip and enjoy your beautiful hairclip! Adjusting the size of the bow is easy. Simply reduce or add to the lengths of ribbon.  The possibilities are endless!  Have fun!
