Bows slip out of fine hair, so many customers are demanding that you provide an option for a non-slip clip. This method is Non-Toxic, Waterproof, Clear Silicone, and completely Non-Slip. This Tutorial is intended for free use. Reproduction for the use of sale is not allowed.
Please keep it free and share it with anyone you like!

Step-by-Step Instructions

Materials:

– All-Glass Aquarium Sealant with tip cut to smallest opening
– Heat Sealing Tool (Woodburner, lighter, etc)
– Fabri-Tac, E6000, or Hot Glue (Whatever your adhesive of choice is)
– 4 ½ Inches of 3/8” Ribbon
– Single or Double Prong Alligator Clip (I use a double prong)

The All-Glass Aquarium Sealant is available online at walmart.com,
petco.com, or petsmart.com or on ebay. You can also find it in
stores at Petco, Petsmart, or a any aquarium store.

Heat Seal the ends of your 3/8” ribbon.
Measure in 1 Ό inches from the end. This is where you begin to apply the strip of silicone. Line it from the 1 1/4” mark all the way to the end. Let it dry for at least 20 minutes before continuing. It will create its own plug that you can pull out the next time your ready to use it!
Flip the ribbon over so that the silicone is facing down. Keep the silicone at the end closest to where you are working.
Apply your adhesive only over the 1 1/4” portion above where the silicone has been placed.
Slide your clip over the adhesive portion as far as it will go and clip down. Your silicone strip is now on the inside of the clip and you can continue the adhesive on the rest of the ribbon.
Add adhesive to the rest of the face up portion of ribbon and continue to line the clip as usual. Do not worry about capping off the silicone.
Finished product.
