Materials

  • Bath or hand towel
  • Coordinating College Ribbon
  • Dual-Sided Craft Bonding Fabric Tape
  • Scissors
  • Iron

Step-by-Step Instructions

:::

1. Pre-heat iron to low setting without steam. Lay the towel out on a flat surface right the right side facing up and measure the width.

Cut your college ribbon 2" longer that the width of your towel. Heat seal the ends.
You can purchase this iron on adhesive at stores like Wal-mart for less than $2 and it contains enough bonding tape to make 100 towels!

1.     Cut bonding tape to slightly thinner width and length of ribbon (you want the bonding tape a little thinner so it does not show once product is completed).

1.     Place bonding tape (paper side up) across entire width of towel where ribbon is desired.   Hold iron on paper side of the adhesive for 2 seconds. Repeat by gliding iron to new area and pressing firmly. Remember to allow about an inch of tape on either side to wrap around to the back of the towel. This will allow you to finish your ribbon in an attractive way.

Once the material has cooled, gently pull off tape.

1.     Place ribbon in desired location and iron well.

Finish the back and your done!
